Stabilizers attached to compound bows allow you to shoot the arrow with less movement on the shaft. Hunting will then be trouble-free any time of the day. Because it’s man-made, the materials used can better withstand changes in temperature and humidity. But should you really get one? To help you make up your mind, I’ve listed three reasons that will convince you to get one now. I also never have deer jump my string but, I am not going to engage in that battle. It’s said that the fastest, most powerful, and most accurate bows ever made are modern compound bows. If I make a mistake on yardage a little then I am still ok. That is my main reasoning for shooting fast bows. Either he is close enough or he is not close enough. SO when I am hunting I do not even carry a range finder. WIth my BMAX2 I can shoot 0-40yards on 1 pin and that is as far as I care to shoot at a whitetail. I am good at guessing yardage but, not good enough to be within 3 yards everytime. I do not always have time or room to grab my range finder. I have killed many big game animals with less energy than what the cheapy bows will kick out now days. Sure it is less forigiving I will give you that. But, it is not the bow that is less accurate it is the shooter. Now the only way a speed bow would be less accurate is if the shooter is not experienced enough to shoot a lower brace height. I can shoot them both into 1 hole all day long. However the speed of the bullet at 100yards does not affect accuracy either positively or negatively. If you are shooting far enough that your bullet is going subsonic then you will not be able to hit anything at those ranges.

Now speed does matter in long range shooting if you are truly shooting long range. I do not think accuracy has anything to do with wanting to shoot speed bows. It all comes down to knowing and understanding your equipment, PRACTICING, and knowing your limitations. 308 and 30-06 rounds which are no speed demons. There have been truly amazing shots made with the venerable. It took me a long time to get to bowhunting after many years of rifle expertise and I knew coming into this game that speed isn't everything. I am not worried about pulling them or holding them but, I want to make sure they do what they say because I know what mine will do and I do not want to be dissappointed. I am looking hard at the Envy and the X Force. When I went back to a 29" draw I shoot about 319fps. When I went to the ACC's which are 480gr's I shoot 336fps. My bow at 30" with a string loop and a peep at 72# with a 375gr Carbon Express arrow was 354fps. It is harder to draw and harder to hold but, draw and holding weight is not an issue for me.
